In 2026, it will be 40 years since Torstein Flakne and Claudia Scott performed together for the first time. Following huge demand, they are once again ready to tour together, four years after their last tour.
Their debut took place during the Norwegian final of the Melodi Grand Prix in Stavanger in 1986. With the song ‘Rock’n’Roll Band’, written by the artists themselves, they provided a rock-’n’-roll highlight with Claudia Scott on vocals and Torstein Flakne’s Stage Dolls as the backing band, supplemented by Ronni Le Tekrø and Bård Svendsen. The performance turned into a wild party complete with smashed guitars and pyrotechnics on stage.
Since then, both artists have established themselves as prominent figures in the Norwegian music scene.
Torstein Flakne – a veteran of the rock scene
Torstein Flakne is known as a key driving force behind The Kids and Stage Dolls. He has been involved in a long list of well-known songs and, together with the rest of Stage Dolls, has been inducted into the Rockheim Hall of Fame. He has also recently played to packed houses alongside his long-standing collaborator Dag Ingebrigtsen in Trondheim.
Claudia Scott – a leading voice in country rock
Claudia Scott is regarded as one of Norway’s most influential artists in country rock and Americana. She has inspired a host of younger musicians and, throughout her career, has received several awards, including three Spellemann Awards, three Fjording Awards, three SESAC Awards in the USA and the Gammleng Award. With a string of solo albums, she has built up a loyal and ever-growing audience.
Well-known songs and stories from life as an artist
When Flakne and Scott share the stage once again, it will be in an acoustic setting where familiar songs are combined with stories and anecdotes from a long life in the music industry. They have listened to each other’s songs, shared musical ideas and developed a joint repertoire which they are looking forward to presenting to the audience.
The concert thus offers both musical highlights and personal reflections from two artists with plenty to share.
