To make art more accessible, we have invited the art collective Alt Går Bra to Ålesund. In collaboration with Aalesunds Fotballklubb (AaFK), art enthusiasts and football supporters, they will explore what happens when art and football meet – on each other’s home turf.
The first half will be shown from 2 October to 2 November at Color Line Stadion. In the rooms that are usually filled with football supporters, a series of oil paintings that connect Art Nouveau with the city’s football team will be presented.
The second half will take place at KUBE from 15 January to 8 March. Here, the opposite happens: elements from football culture are reborn as art in the museum’s rooms.
What happens when art comes to the stadium – and football to the museum?
Alt Går Bra is an art collective consisting of Agnes Nedregård and Branko Boero Imwinkelried. They work with participation and social engagement as central elements in their art practice. Their works have previously been shown at the National Museum, KODE, Palais de Tokyo and the Victoria and Albert Museum, among others.
