Vamp
For more than three decades, Vamp have established themselves as one of Norway’s best-loved and most influential bands. They have written and performed hundreds of songs about the human experience – love and sorrow, myths and ghosts, death and life. And, of course, the sea.
With their distinctive musical style, Vamp seek out beauty and power in a world that is becoming increasingly cold and automated. The band have developed a unique ability to combine tradition with contemporary influences, striking a chord with the Norwegian soul in a way few other artists can match.
Across 18 album releases, Vamp have sold more than one million records and received numerous awards, including five Spellemann Awards, the Prøysen Award and the Medaas Award.
Their extensive catalogue is packed with songs that hold a special place in the hearts of the Norwegian public, including Tir n'a Noir, Månemannen, Liten fuggel and 13 humler.
In February 2027, the band will release their new album, Syr ei blonda. Audiences can look forward to hearing new material alongside a rich selection of classics from Vamp’s extensive musical repertoire.
