Vegard Holum Sings - ein hyllest til Chet

How it can create tension entirely on its own, suddenly shifting from powerful to soft when interacting with other musical elements.

As an aspiring jazz trumpeter, he quickly turned his attention to the true master of melodic trumpet playing: Chet Baker.

Baker’s effortless, fluid melodic lines over rapid chord changes were deeply fascinating. There was no need to impress or show off his trumpet virtuosity; he simply *was* the music.

Now, Holum wishes to immerse himself in Baker’s musical universe. He has selected his favorites from the catalog and is taking on the roles of trumpeter, vocalist, and bandleader. To interpret the music, he has assembled an all-star team of local musicians, and together they will pay tribute to "The Prince of Cool."

Vegard Holum – trumpet and vocals
Norvald Dahl – piano
Lars Martin Vik – bass
Børre Dalhaug – drums
