Ålesund's own film festival once again invites you to days filled with film experiences, inspiration and meeting places! When WENIFF takes place for the 13th time, filmmakers, audiences and industry professionals gather in the heart of the city to celebrate the power and creativity of short films. This time we are expanding the festival to four days.
The festival program offers a wide range of national and international short films – from strong documentaries to playful fiction films, artistic experiments and gripping stories from around the world.
In addition, you can experience:
• FilmLab – a youth workshop, where young filmmakers get to explore the craft of film in practice
• Film talk with Kalle Løchen, the festival's resident film expert
• Industry meetings and seminars for anyone looking for professional enrichment and new connections
• School screenings for the next generation of film lovers
• Festival party – a social closing with a good atmosphere and conversations across the communities
