Zum Hauptinhalt

Ever since the 1800s has the intimate and somewhat secluded mountain and coastal villages in western Norway has been a playground for royalty, emperors, cultural elite and other nice people. Everyday life for the local farmers offered other pleasures and challenges: Framgarden in Stordalen can now stay as an "emperor", but in the historical and authentic surroundings of the local western farmer. We offer a journey back in time with delicious food and good comfort.

Stordal is situated midway between Alesund, Geiranger, Molde and the Trollstigen road and making it a perfect place to stay if you are going to explore the various tourist attractions in the area.

The farms on Jøsvoll consisted 1800s four yard. Today, there are only two back: Ystegarden and Framgarden. Blåtind can offer stays and accommodation of the latter. Enjoy life among the old houses or take the historic buildings as a springboard to experience the great sights and activities in the area: Geiranger, Trollstigen, Alesund, Gudbrandsjuvet, fishing, rafting, etc..

Framgarden was very overdue, but in 2006, after several years of renovation, it was back in the old splendor and received Good conservation award in western Norway. This award was created in 1984 as a collaboration between the Ancient Monuments Society branch in western Norway and regional newspaper Sunnmørsposten.
