Exhibition: Amund Gravdal - I nytt lys

Visual artist Amund Gravdal works mainly in oil (on fibreboard and canvas), with motifs ranging from landscape studies, interiors and portraits. Observations of clearings in the forest, studies of snow, city streets and trees, recur in several of the artworks.

The landscapes are real or fictional, and they lie in a transition between light and dark, between figuration and abstraction, between the safe and the eerie.

Amund Gravdal was born in 1988 and lives in Bømlo. He has previously had solo exhibitions at Haugesund Kunstforening, Tysvær Kunstlag and Bømlo Kunstlag, among others, and is also participating in this year's Vestlandsutstilling.

The exhibition will be opened by artist David Lamignan Larsen. I nytt lys is on display until 2 June.
