Zum Hauptinhalt

Based in the heart of the Sunnmøre alps, with dozens of peaks above 1500 m, this is the perfect location for downhill skiing. Start your day in the valley or by the fjord and work your way up to the alpine peaks. When the conditions are right, ski from the peaks and all the way down to the fjord.

Facts

Many first ascents in the area were made by famous British mountaineers like Wiliam Cecil Slingsby and Charles Watson Patchell in the early 1900s. Patchell set up the Patchell Hut at the foot of Mt. Slogen, whereas Slingsby established his own climbing route (Slingsby-route) up from Villa Norangdal to the top of Mt Kvitegga.

Today, the scenery and mountains has inspired international advertisers and ski movie makers. Volvo cars, Peak Performance, Universal Pictures, Field Productions, Solomon Freeski tv and Warren Miller Entertainment amongst others.
