The Åkrafjord and Langfoss waterfall
Between the steep mountains, the 30-kilometre-long Åkrafjord carves its way inland to many small hamlets and farms. There’s a long tradition of agriculture in Etne and it has been the municipality’s most important livelihood. Etne centre and Etneelva river
Etneelva is one of the most popular salmon rivers in Western Norway and attracts many hopeful fishermen every year from June to September. In the centre of Etne you will find accommodation, restaurants, an art gallery and the Etne shopping centre. Every August, the Etne market offers a range of cultural and family experiences for all ages.
Skånevik
The village of Skånevik is also an important part of Etne municipality and is known for its fine building tradition, giving it the name ‘the pearl of Sunnhordland’.
