The garden room is the name of the newest part of the building where the coffee Gullkant used to get roasted, the coffee that is still served in the café today. From this living room, you have a view of the harbour at Skagenkaien.
Kolonialen is the name of the main part of the café where until 1970 there was actually a colonial shop. The consulate, located in the oldest part of the house was built between 1704 and 1710. The Danish Consulate has been administered by the Hansen family for six generations and it is still in operation at Skagen 18 today.
