Fishing Safari
Join a fishing safari on the top of Sirdal, with fishing in world-class. The trip starts with local lunch (Mosse, fish) in Kvæven Cafe at 11.30. You then leave for Svartevatn at 12.00. Here you will experience Southern Norway's biggest wilderness and you will be surrounded by reindeer and grouse. You then eat what you catch, and the trip is finished in Kvæven at 16.00. Do you prefer more delicacies? At Kvæven you can order a fantastic wild dinner with fish or other local food on the menu.

Start your trip to Sirdal with a stay at the unique EcoLodge. This is a 100 % climate-neutral product. With the glass roof over your head, you can watch the sunset and the stars from your bed!

Sleepover in the Heiberghytta
Go back in time in the Heiberghytta. Heiberghytta, or Trongenhytta, from the early 1900s, represents what was one of Norway's very first really big tourism products. Here the nobility from Germany and England met to hunt wild reindeer, with accommodation in what were then luxury cabins on the mountain. This cabin is completely authentic and was moved to Kvæven in 2001. The building is a living museum and part of the Sirdal mountain museum. Here you sleep in authentic surroundings with reindeer antlers and the first Mauser rifles on the wall. The experience of sleeping here is powerful. Standard is simple but exclusive.
And as if this experience was not enough in itself, Sirdal Safari & Adventures can, with an addition to the price, arrange a serving of real game stew in the cabin. The food is served on the same crockery that Heiberg served the nobility and lords from England and Germany over 100 years ago.
Trip to Smalevatn
Join high mountain fishing in the middle of the wilderness between Sirdal and Setesdal. Sleepover in a simple cabin hut. Water from the river, fish on the bonfire. The simple mountain life is often the best!
