Rennesøyhodnet

A view such as this is rare! Rennesøyhodnet is in the middle of the Ryfylke islands and gives a tremendous view in all directions.

A proposal from a very literal standing position? Trollpikken is a natural landmark that needs little explanation — perfect for couples who enjoy a cheeky sense of humour.

Trollpikken

Trollpikken near Egersund is a phenomenon created by the ice during the last ice age. You too can explore the hike to the peculiar Trollpikken in Magma UNESCO Global Geopark.

With the sea or the fjord as your accompaniment, you can hardly go wrong. You might even get some dramaturgical help from the elements: relaxing waves and blue skies on a nice sunny day, or excitement and extravaganza on a more weather-beaten day.

Borestranden beach

Borestranden is one of the nicest beaches in Norway and is three kilometres long. The beach is located along the FV507, the Norwegian Scenic Route Jæren, and is a nice stop off the scenic road.

Tunnelstuo

Terland Klopp

Terland Klopp is located in Gyadalen valley along road 42, approximately 15 km from Egersund, 3 km from Helleland. It is a 60-meter-long stone slab bridge from the early 19th century with 21 water runs. It's said that Terland Klopp is the longest and best preserved bridge of its kind in Norway.

Helleren and Jøssingfjord

Perhaps you have driven past these, or seen a picture of these two little houses under Helleren in Jøssingfjord. If you drive along the North Sea Route, you can see them from the RV44 somewhere between Egersund and Flekkefjord.
