1. Gastronomic experience at Leonards Forlaavelse

Leonards Forlaavelse is a small-scale eatery experience. It has a farm shop that sells bakery products and local produce, and it has a large cheese counter. It also has a home decor shop that has an intimate in authentic atmosphere. Worth a visit

2. Jakob Sande-tunet

The popular poet Jakob Sande (1906-67) was born and brought up in the bellringer´s house (Jakob Sande-tunet) in Dale.

During the summer months Jakob Sande-tunet has an open café and guided tours. You can hear about the poet, his life and work and the culture of Dale. There is also a small museum collection and other cultural events in the summer. Groups on request all year.

3. Hike to Heileberget

By the mighty Dalsfjord lies the impressive hike to Heileberget, or Fløgen as some may call it. From an altitude of 761 meters, you get a powerful nature experience.

4. Walk to Fossedalen

Walk to Fossedalen, a hidden gem located on the north side of Dalsfjorden. Walk up to Fossedalsfossen and be amazed by the forces of nature. Maybe a bath is tempting?

Fossedalen

Fossedalen valley is an area of natural beauty on the north side of the Dalsfjord. You can walk up to Fossedalsfossen waterfall. Or perhaps you fancy a swim?

5. Korssund

Korssund is an old shelter place just west of Fjaler municipality with a very intriguing history. The place was named after a 4-meter-high stone cross that was established by King Olav the Holy around year 1030 during the Christianization of Norway. The cross is of the kind “Olavkross”, and it is one of the largest crosses in the whole country. Korrsund is a solid harbour, and it is a lively boat life here in the summertime.

7. Salmon and sea trout fishing in Flekke and Guddalsvassberget

Looking for a unique fishing experience? The river Guddalsvassberget extends about 30 km from Flekkefjorden to the mountains in Guddal. The first 8.5 kilometers up to Harefossen form the anadromous part of the river. Information about fishing licenses can be found here.
