Ålesund chamber music festival 2023

A demanding and largely organized festival when it comes to involved musicians, with baroque violinist Bjarte Eike as festival artist. He will bring some of Europe's best baroque musicians and singers. As well as being one of the foremost experts in the North in his subject he has also worked a lot with mediation - visually and theatrically - to a new audience. Edvard Grieg choir from Bergen will also be there, joining a concert with the Baroque solist as well as having an own concert focusing mainly on Grieg and Norwegian songs.

As a contrast to the festival program the festival will open with a concert devoted to Kjell Flem that is 80 years in 2023. Haiku sounds is one of the main performances, a performance never seen in Ålesund before.
