This year we celebrate that it is 100 years since the composer, collector and re-poet Arne Dørumsgard was born. On that occasion, the Norwegian Sound Institute invites to a party in Spiseriet to celebrate the jubilee. The evening will offer a musical and culinary journey, where the audience will get an insight into the man behind the record collection of the Norwegian Sound Institute in Stavanger. On the program we have with us pianist Maria Bue Kessel who will perform works for piano together with the singer Amalie Grani, singer by Dørumsgaard and from the series Canzone Scordate. Singer and composer Nils Christian Fossdal will perform an excerpt from Dørumsgaard's Norwegian retellings of Eastern poetry. Maria Bue Kessel reads the original text in Japanese. During the evening, a five-course dinner will be served from Spiseriet, inspired by Dørumsgaard's journey through Europe. In connection with the Festaften, it will be possible to see the anniversary exhibition: Arne Dørumsgaard 100 years. The tour will be from kl. 17.30-18.30 at the Norwegian Institute of Sound and admission to the exhibition is free. Only unnumbered seats are sold for this event. If you want to sit with others who have bought a ticket, or have allergies, send an e-mail to DURATION About. 4 hours (more info on duration to come). ORGANIZER Norwegian Institute of Sound
