Fjord & salmon safari – Hardangerfjord Adventure

This fjord and salmon safari gives insight into the aquaculture located in the Hardangerfjord. On this guided trip with Hardangerfjord Adventure, you get to experience beautiful landscapes, learn about fjord communities and salmon production, and taste salmon produced in Hardangerfjord, combined with local cider or apple juice.

After the expedition at Hardanger Aquacenters digital display center in Øystese, you'll get dressed for the boat ride. The RIB safari follows the fjord branch of Fyksesund, a beautiful fairytale-like fjord branch in the middle of the Hardangerfjord. Fyksesunds view is magnificent, and the inner part of the fjord has steep and tall mountain sides. There will be many stops close to land during the trip so that you will experience nature and the history of life along the fjord.

On the way back, you'll go to shore at the Hardanger Aquacenters display facility, located at the start of the fjord branch. Here you will get insight into salmon production and taste delicious samples of locally produced salmon combined with local apple drinks.  

The return by RIB goes by Kvamsøy and Tjuvaholmen back to Øystese.

Guided hikes by foot are done with smaller groups on request and goes along hidden treasures along the fjord - mainly used by the locals.
