Join Fjord Nature on a roundtrip, including kayaking in the majestic Geirangerfjord and hiking to the traditional mountain farm, Skageflå. The tour starts from Fjord Nature´s basecamp in Geiranger, from where your local guide will bring you on a kayak and hiking trip into fjord landscape. Together you will be exploring the fjord, the waterfalls and the unique farm Skageflå, placed on a cliff in a mountain ledge.

The Geirangerfjord is a part of UNESCO's world heritage list, and that is not without reason. The fjords were shaped by the last ice age, and the big glaciers created a unique landscape, consisting of deep fjords and steep mountains. On the trip you will experience the deep blue colour of the fjord, surrounded by small summer farms, green and lush nature, and see the spectacular waterfalls.

From the meet up we paddle in fjord kayak´s  into the fjord, passing Homlung, towards Skagehola. From Geiranger town to Skagehola is about 2 hours of kayaking. From here you will get a view into the fjord and famous waterfalls like The Seven Sisters and The Suitor. When we arrive at Skagehola, we will leave our kayaks behind, and start the hike along the mountain ledge towards Skageflå. The terrain is steep, but well secured, with a beautiful view over the fjord. Once at Skageflå there will be a lunch break, while our local guide entertains you with stories from the area. Your guide will provide instructions, exciting stories and ensure safety throughout the day.

The kayaks we will use are stable sit-on-top fjord kayaks. These are very beginner friendly and require no prior knowledge of paddling. The kayaks are suitable for all levels, and even children can join in company with an adult. We offer single kayaks and tandem kayaks, for both people travelling alone and for families. We hope you will join us on this safe and eventful kayak trip on the Geirangerfjord!
