There are several public places in Balestrand where you can go swimming: •Gamleheimsfjøra (approx 1.5 km from the village centre in the direction of Høyanger). •At the Lunde Arboretum (approx 8 km from the village centre in the direction of Dragsvik) •Stølsberg in Vetlefjorden (approx 25 km from the village centre in the direction of the Gaularfjell mountain pass) •Kvamsøy recreation area (approx 13 km from the village centre in the direction of Høyanger).
