Groups where cohesion is based on the pursuit of an often problematic larger whole are on the rise in society again. Brotherly, a choreographic work for three different dancers, turns its gaze to the people in such groups, to bodies bound by principles but at the same time willing participants in its limitation.

Brotherly explores the physicality of Riverdance - dancers in a line, with arms straight and rigid along the upper body, and a clear rhythmic footwork; basically a revitalization of Irish culture in the 20th century in response to British colonialism, which further developed into Riverdance as it is known today. In the trio "Brotherly", Irish step dance is turned into contemporary dance, into a restless whole where three bodies are bound by a double-edged dynamic - a gradual undressing of the human interior in the face of adversity, but also the life-giving and playful in community.
