Rita Eriksen and Dag Vagle have known each other for a number of years, and first worked together on the Eriksen album Blåmandag from 1998. Over the years they have met in various projects, but it was after Rita heard Dag Vagle sing "The Cinderella Song" in Czech that she conceived the idea of a collaboration on Christmas concerts.

There were two great sold-out Christmas concerts in Sandnes cultural center in 2018, and we are happy to be able to offer you Vinterlys for the fourth year in a row.

The audience will hear familiar songs associated with Christmas, and gems from both are bound together by a fantastic band.

In recent years, Rita Eriksen has been very successful with the concert performance "Songbird" - a tribute to Eva Cassidy and in the ABBA performance "Thank you for the music - We love ABBA". She is perhaps the artist in Norway with the most duets on the merit list, and has sung with i.a. Hellbillies, Bjørn Eidsvåg, Three Little Chinese and Delbert McClinton.

When Rita had to choose a duet partner for the album "Øyeblikk" from 2014, the first choice was Dag Vagle on the song "Alt te si tid". A lovely song that naturally belongs on "Winterlys" as the concert also has some detours from the classic Christmas music.

Dag Vagle is a solo artist and frontman in the band Helldorado and he also plays actively with the Randi Tytingvåg Trio and Janove. When "Feedback" was to choose the decade's 10 best records at the turn of the year, Egon Holstad singled out the record "Bones in the Closet with Helldorado" and wrote "Dag Vagle is one of our best vocalists ever and his song "Johnny's Song" is the best that was made here on the rock for the whole decade? Yes, I think so."

In addition to being a fantastic communicator of text, he is also an excellent musician with the guitar as his main instrument.

Take the opportunity to enjoy great music and find peace this Christmas 2022!
