The 10-minute song offers a violent, creative flourishing and development, in the wake of "Why Would I Let You Go", which was named this year's Norwegian song by a united body of critics in 2020. "Dead Of The Night" was also received with applause by both the Norwegian and foreign music press. Among other things, Dagsavisen gave 6 out of 6 and reported that "one of the longest songs of the year is also one of the best of the year", while Bergens Tidende called it "a beast of a song" and stated that it was Lerche's best so far. In other words, the flow zone has only continued for Lerche, after taming the challenging "corona year" with his three-time Spellemann-nominated album "Patience", and more extensive tournament and activity than any other Norwegian artist last year. Lerche toured Norway alone, with over 50 solo concerts, against all odds. In addition, he shared throughout 2020 memorable concert experiences, including from his own living room as the country closed down, alone in Emanuel Vigeland Mausoleum, together with KORK in Store Studio, as well as the dice roll 6 performance Patience Extravaganza, which went live from Drammens Teater just before Christmas . Lerche has spent the winter working on a new album, as well as completing the children's book "En Flue Fløy" which was published at Cappelen in May. At the same time, he has also launched the Patos wine brand, which currently consists of three biodynamic natural wines that have been well received by both the public and wine critics. Simultaneously with "Dead Of The Night", Lerche launched an extensive tour in North America and Europe, and now several concerts are finally released in Norway with a full band. More new music is also expected. It may soon turn out that 2022 also belongs to Sondre Lerche.
