The glacier is located in the county of Hordaland and is one of the southernmost glaciers in Norway. Summer skiing has been a popular activity here for the past 20 years, and the ski-lift is mounted directly on the glacier. From freestyle skiing, cross-country skiing trails to a snowboarding park and snowshoe hikes, there's plenty to keep you busy at Folgefonna ski resort. The views from this summer ski resort will leave you speechless!

What would you say if we told you that you could enjoy a bus, boat and ski trip all in one day? And in the height of summer? Well, believe it or not, you can when you book our tour to Folgefonna glacier.

Our tour leaves Bergen by bus and will take you to the first stop, Norheimsund. From here you'll enjoy a boat cruise on the beautiful Hardangerfjord. Sit back, relax and enjoy the serene fjord in all its glory before departing the boat at Herand. Looming in the distance, you'll be able to see the Folgefonna glacier and National Park. A bus runs from Herand to Fonna Glacier Ski Resort. It's here that you can put your ski or snowboarding skills to the test.

1200 metres above sea level, this leading summer ski resort has slopes for every level. The wide alpine ski slopes are perfect for beginners, offering plenty of space to get to grips with the basics. Perhaps you're a seasoned snowsport enthusiast? In which case you can try out new tricks at the freestyle park. As you're taking a rest on the ski lift, be sure to admire the astonishing views of Hardangerfjord. On a clear day, you can even see the North Sea!

Duration: 11 hours and 45 minutes Suitable for: Anyone who can ski. The slopes are not steep and require little previous experience. Fonna has great slopes for both beginners and those who are more experienced and want to work on a trick or two.

In preparation for your trip we advice you to wear/bring with you: -Comfortable shoes -Weatherproof clothes -Sunglasses and sunscreen -Extra layers of clothes

If you don't have ski clothes don't despair. Clothes are available for rent: -Ski jacket NOK 100/day -Ski pants NOK 100/day -Ski jacket and pants NOK150 NOK/day

Food: There are no meals included in this trip, but food and drinks can be purchased on the boat crossing the Hardangerfjord and at the Glacier Resort.
