Ulvik Hiking Association was established September 11th, 1988 at Jonstøl. The association offers guided hikes with experienced, local guides between May and October. The association is responsible for maintaining the local trails around Ulvik and is actively promoting an inclusive and wholesome culture of hiking among the locals. Yearly activities spur a passion for hiking, such as organized hikes to popular hiking destinations and a hiking-orientation for locals to collect stamps and participate in a draw upon completing all hikes.

The guides are highly competent in terms of hiking safety and know the mountain areas of Ulvik like their own backpockets. Along the way, they will share some local history and culture with you to ensure you get the full experience of Ulvik.
