The mighty Briksdal Glacier is part of the Jostedal Glacier national park. From a height of 1200 metres the wild glacier drops right down into the narrow, fertile Briksdalen – a sight which attracts 300,000 visitors from all over the world every year.
The mountain lodge lies at the head of the Oldedalen Valley, with a nice view towards mountains and glacier - and within walking distance of the Briksdal Glacier. Restaurant. Cafe. Souvenir shop.
The Mountain Lodge has restaurants and dining rooms that can seat more than 550 people. Comprehensive menu.
In the Souvenir Shop right next door to the Mountain Lodge you can find beautiful mementos of Briksdal. Tax Free.

Oldedalen Skyss offers transport in customised "Troll cars" for the trip to and from the glacier. It is about 3 kilometers from the Mountain Lodge to the glacier lake. The trip starts at the holding place right beside the Souvenir Shop in Briksdal.
