Preikestolen is a glacial rock formation 604m above the Lysefjord. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Norway, which is why so many people hike up to catch the stunning views. The trek to the summit is unguided but follow a clearly marked path. However, before you start your hike you need an easy way to get there. Go Fjord’s Preikestolen tour starts in Stavanger city center. In under an hour the Go Preikestolen Express Bus whips you right up to the start of the hiking trail. Buses leave from Stavanger every half hour in the high season (June, July, August) and every hour in the low season (April, May and September)
