Road Directions

We recommend to take Bergen Light Rail to Paradis or Fantoft. From Paradis: Walk up Birkelundsbakken hill to the parking lot on the left side. A small, steep path leads to the Stave Church from there. (15 minutes walkj) You can also get off at Fantoft: By Safari supermarked there is a sign pointing to the Stave Church. (15 minutes walk)

You can also take bus no 2 from Småstrandgaten to Birkelundstoppen, and walk down the hill Birkelundsbakken. The walk is very steep.

By car: Take road no. 582 direction Nesttun apprx. 5 km, turn left by the sign saying FANTOFT, or drive on to Paradis and turn left up Birkelundsbakken.
