About

Cultural and recreational area for the public. The area is now facilitated with a universally designed path. You can discover interesting Norwegian war history combined with marvellous nature experiences in the area. You can go on hikes, fishing, bathing, diving, kayaking – as well as studying the installations from the military period. Lovely views from Storevarden.

Fjøløy lighthouse was built in 1879. Automated in 1977. Recreational area. Signposted from E39 towards Utstein Monastery.

Read full review
