Rogaland Arboretum is a lush park area with more than 1400 different trees and bushes from a number of countries. With its 175 acres, this is Norway's largest arboretum and a place where all age groups can explore nature. 15 km walking paths.
The most important collections are: Acer, Sorbus, Syringa, Taxus and Rhododendron.
Open year round. Cafeteria open Sundays 1100-1600.
Access: By car: Turn off towards Sviland from E39 at Bråsteinsvatnet lake between Sandnes and Figgjo. Signposted.
By public transportation: bus nr. 23 from Sandnes direction Ålgård. Get off at Osli and following path along the lake, approximately 3 km.
