The best sightseeing trips

1. Norway in a Nutshell®

The Norway in a nutshell® trip takes you through some of Norway's most beautiful fjord scenery. You can experience the scenic Bergen Railway, the breathtaking Flåm Railway, the Aurlandsfjord, the narrow Nærøyfjord and the steep hairpin bends of Stalheimskleiva (May-September). The trip runs daily all year.

2. Geirangerfjord and Norway in a Nutshell®

The roundtrip from Fjord Tours will bring you to some of Norways finest. Beautiful fjords, a spectacular train journey, unique architecture and UNESCO's World Heritage sites - that's Geiranger & Norway in a nutshell®.

3. Go Hardangerfjord & Vøringsfossen waterfall

You leave Bergen by bus, and in Norheimsund you go by boat to Eidfjord. You will journey through a landscape full of historic villages, waterfalls and idyllic orchards. In the distance, you will see Folgefonna glacier and national park, the third largest glacier in Norway. A visit to the Norwegian Nature Centre in Eidfjord is included, as well an excursion to Vøringsfossen, Norway’s most famous waterfall!

4. Go Sognefjord & Vik from Bergen

This full day trip combines a scenic fjord cruise on the Sognefjord, a guided visit to the fjord village Vik and a drive over the mountain plateau between Bergen and the fjord region, including some beautiful photo stops. During your stay in Vik you will visit one of the oldest Stave churches in Norway (Hopperstad Stave Church) walk through the town center while listening to your local guide and get the chance to try some traditional cheese (Gammalost). Lunch is included.

5. From Ålesund by bus to Geirangerfjord & Trollstigen

This roundtrip by bus takes you through the UNESCO World Heritage listed landscape around the Geirangerfjord and further to the famous Trollstigen (Troll's ladder) road. This road in one of 10 Norwegian Scenic Routes in Fjord Norway.

6. Island hopping on the coast - Solund, Bulandet, Værlandet

Island Hopping to Solund, Bulandet and Værlandet is a trip to the westernmost islands in Norway. The municipality of Solund has over 1700 islands, islet and skerries. The local mail boat takes you on a guided tour among these islands, while delivering mail to the people living on the islands. Go from Hardbakke or Bulandet - or go on a day trip from Bergen!

7. Sognefjord in a nutshell & the UNESCO fjord tour bus

Have it all on this combined trip! It combines the Sognefjord in a nutshell with a bus tour along the Nordfjord to the Geirangerfjord, which let you see both the mighty Sognefjord and the beautiful Geirangerfjord. The tour includes the Flåm Railway, and we highly recommend adding a few overnight stays along the way to fully enjoy this region.

8. A full day on the Fjærlandsfjord and to the glaciers 

On the boat from Balestrand to Fjærland you can enjoy the view of the steep mountains and lush landscape. In Fjærland, a shuttle bus brings you further to the Norwegian Glacier museum. Learn more about the Jostedalsbreen Glacier - the largest glacier in Europe, before you continue by bus to two glaciers: Supphellebreen and Bøyabreen.

9. Sognefjord & Nærøyfjord in a nutshell

The perfect alternative is your looking for the ultimate fjord package. It includes the UNESCO protected Nærøyfjord, the mighty Sognefjord and a bus ride down the hairpin bends of Stalheimskleiva. Travel from Bergen or Oslo.

10. Go Sognefjord & Jostedalsbreen from Bergen

If you want to see a glacier up close without necessarily being on it, one of Go Fjords’ tours will be right up your alley. "Go Sognefjord & Jostedalsbreen" combines a cruise along the majestic Sognefjord with a trip to an arm of Jostedalsbreen glacier. An added bonus is a trip to the interactive glacier museum in the town of Fjærland. Another option is "Go Sognefjord, Jostedalsbreen & Vik". This is a 2-day-trip that in addition to visiting Jostedalsbreen glacier, the Glacier Museum and a Sognefjord cruise, takes you to the small village of Vik for a guided visit of cultural and historical sights, and a night at the local Blix Hotel.
