53 643 643
Be aware that Ulriken will be closed until May 1 2021 due to rebuild.
Enjoy spectacular scenery and mountain terrain 643 metres above the city streets. From the summit, you can enjoy magnificent views of Bergen and the surrounding area - the sea, the islands, fjords and mountains.
HOW TO GET TO MOUNT ULRIKEN:
By regular bus:
Bus No. 2, 3 or 12 from city center going south. Get off at Haukeland Hospital and follow the signs.
By car:
From the city center follow road number 585 towards Haukeland Hospital, turn left just before the tunnel up Haukelandsbakken.
NORWAY'S FASTEST ZIPLINE:
On top of the Mount Ulriken you can try the new Zipline! The Zipline is a fun and exciting activity with breathtaking views of the city and the surrounding fjords. Read more about the Zipline here.
RESTAURANT SKY: SKRAPEREN:
Beside the viewing platform, Restaurant Sky:skraperen serves "fish in the mountains" and other local specialities. If you fancy a refreshment up on a mountainside, shopping among the clouds, enjoying exciting activities or mountain walks high above Western Norway’s beautiful capital city, then this is definitely the tour for you. During April - September you can enjoy "Ulriken by night" - a 3 or 4 course dinner. You can read more about "Ulriken by night" here
HIKING:
Mount Ulriken is perfect for hiking. Spectacular views and beautilful terrain whether you take a short 10 minute hike or venture out on a full day hike. It is also popular to walk from Mount Ulriken to Fløyen across "Vidden". The tour takes about 5 hours. You can walk from Fløyen to Ulriken or from Ulriken to Fløyen. The latter is most popular because you get a more gentle walk and you finish right in the city center.
(Ulriken643 closes for rebuilding August 1, 2020. Ulriken 643 will have a shorter season in 2020 than normal. This is due to a planned construction period starting August 1, 2020. During this period it will not be possible to use the cable car, restaurant or cafe at the top. We are aiming to open up a whole new, modernized and larger funicular on June 01, 2021, and we look forward to it. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience and any inconvenience the rebuilding will cause in the period.)
