You are here Top Attractions Geirangerfjord Amazing viewpoints
Dalsnibba viewpoint is situated about 1500 metres above sea level, giving you an unforgettable view of snow covered mountain tops and the Geirangerfjord below. A new, spectacular platform, "Geiranger Skywalk", gives you a guaranteed airy experience.
The road to Dalsnibba is called Nibbevegen, and was a pioneering project and the very symbol of tourism in Geiranger when it opened in 1939. If you arrive from the Hotel Djupvasshytta which is 1038 metres above sea level, you will approach a toll road that will lead you up to a modern service building with a souvenir shop and toilet facilities.
Dalsnibba is located just above Geiranger along the road RV63. You will then approach a toll station where you can pay with cash or card.
The original natural viewpoint named Ørnesvingen has been modernized, has its own built-in waterfall, and is part of the grand project National Tourist Routes. Read more about the Norwegian Scenic Route Geiranger-Trollstigen here. Ørnesvingen is situated at 620 meters above sea level at the top of Ørnevegen, the steepest stretch of road from Geiranger. From here you have a view of Geiranger, the Geirangerfjord, the waterfalls ”The Seven Sisters” and the abandoned farm Knivsflå.
Drive from Geiranger towards Eidsdal on the road RV63, the road leads towards the steep mountainside from the Geirangerfjord, through eleven hairpin turns to the highest point along the expanse, near Korsmyra.
