Orchestra in Miniature
How can an entire orchestra fit into a piano trio?
In this concert, a piano trio presents well-known orchestral works in fresh and exciting arrangements for violin, cello and piano. The programme includes music by Rossini, Grieg and Beethoven, performed in an intimate setting that brings audiences closer to both the musicians and the music.
The concert is part of the Orchestra in Miniature tour, which visits several cities across Rogaland, with the aim of making classical music and orchestral repertoire accessible to a wider audience. The programme is suitable both for experienced concertgoers and for those discovering classical music for the first time.
Performers:
Violin: Chao-Kai Lin (Stavanger Symphony Orchestra)
Cello: Ilmari Hopkins (Stavanger Symphony Orchestra)
Piano: Fernando Cruz (University of Stavanger)
Welcome to a concert experience where vast musical landscapes are brought to life by just three musicians.
