«This house is too full! When I grow up and get married I'm going to live alone»
When Kevin is accidentally left behind by his family as they rush off on a Christmas holiday to Paris, he is forced to be the man of the house! Kevin suddenly finds himself very busy getting the house ready for Christmas. But it is not Christmas decorations and ornaments he fills the rooms with.
Two clumsy burglars are in the process of breaking in. Now it is up to Kevin to defend the family home. He sets up an impressive array of traps to give the villains a proper welcome!
Macaulay Culkin, who plays Kevin, has helped make this a popular classic for the whole family. The film was director Chris Columbus's big breakthrough in Hollywood, and John Williams' film score earned them two Oscar nominations.
Christmas is the backdrop for the film, but it is also a comedy in itself, where the slapstick humour is still entertaining over 30 years later.
