Auntie G returns to the beautiful Biblioteket Bar in Kjøttbasaren! It has been three years since she last played here, and since then Auntie G has released new music, played concerts - and submitted a song to Eurovision 2027!
Bergen artist Auntie G (Gjertrud Coutinho) has a versatile musical background, with roots in gospel, blues and country. But it was not until 2022, when Markus Kinell from Sweden invited her to write lyrics and sing on one of his instrumental rock songs, that something truly electric arose.
Since then the duo has released several singles, an EP and an album, and in 2023 Auntie G was nominated for «Best International Female» at the Radio WigWam Awards in England.
Markus Kinell is based in Sweden and will not be joining this evening - but do not worry! A full band will be on stage delivering music inspired by symphonic rock/metal, topped with melodic vocals from Auntie G.
PS: This is not a quiet evening with acoustic guitar - expect high volume and energetic rock!
Auntie G says:
«Bring someone you care about - this will be an evening I have been looking forward to for a long time. See you at Kjøttbasaren!»
On stage:
Gjertrud Coutinho (Auntie G) - vocals
Ulf Skjoldhammer - guitar
Johannes Melbøe - guitar
Pål Edvin Aanensen - bass
Ole Ekroll - drums
