The action-packed Norwegian film sensation
Finnmark in the 10th century. 16-year-old Aigin one day witnesses some black-clad men killing his parents and little sister. The perpetrators turn out to be Chudes, a nomadic band of raiders from Karelia who plunder and kill everyone in their path. Aigin is discovered and wounded by an arrow in his arm, but manages to flee to a nearby camp to warn his friends about the Chudes. Aigin's arrival creates conflict. Some accuse him of putting their lives in danger with the tracks in the snow. Others understand that he had no choice.
Veiviseren is based on two nearly 1,000-year-old Sami legends. And like Norse heroic poems and old fairy tales the film is a raw, brutal and exciting story.
