- Equinor Big Band takes to the stage with its organiser and soloist, Magnus Murphy Joelson, on trombone, performing arrangements written by Magnus.
- Dalane Big Band keeps the evening going with an exciting programme celebrating the golden age of jazz.
- Platform 9 continues the evening with laid-back big band jazz inspired by the early days of the genre.
- Stavanger Big Band rounds off the party with a musical journey from New York to Zanzibar.
Each big band will perform a 40-minute set.
Big Band Bonanza – Festival programme
This year's Big Band Bonanza Festival kicks off on Thursday 5 November with the talented Scheen Jazz Orchestra (from Skien), who will perform a brand-new commissioned work by and featuring Thea Grant.
And they're not the only big names on the programme! The legendary Brazz Brothers return to Stavanger for Big Band Bonanza, performing at Spor 5 on Friday 6 November.
