Harmonica virtuoso John Magnar Bernes, frontman of the Hungry John Band, has for over 50 years been one of the most prominent figures in Norwegian blues history through both solo projects and the Bergen Blues Band.
Hungry John Band delivers a mix of self-composed songs and classic blues, characterized by John's characteristic vocals and a world-class harmonica playing. As a frequent guest on stages and festivals all over the country, he constantly proves why he is considered the godfather of the Bergen blues scene.
