BJØRN MOE – RHYTHMIC, TOUGH AND SOULFUL - Remember to book a table for the best experience
Bjørn Moe is known as a creative and driving drummer, but in recent years he has also made a strong mark as a vocalist, songwriter and performer. After nearly 40 years behind the drums he released his first self-composed song, «The Book», in 2021, before the debut album «Angel Number Seven» came in 2023. Since then he has released new music, among others the Norwegian single «Horisont» and this year's first song «Burn The Bridges».
The music moves in an exciting landscape between pop, rock, jazz and world music. The rhythms draw inspiration from Africa, the Middle East and the Caribbean, while the voice is dark, powerful and soulful – with associations to names such as David Bowie, Peter Gabriel and David Coverdale.
Live Bjørn Moe sings while simultaneously playing drums. This gives the concert a distinctive energy and nerve. With him he has a strong band of experienced West Coast musicians:
Kristin Bergsvik – backing vocals and percussion Kjell Arne Bauge – guitars Svein Henning Berstad – bass Einar Sogstad – keys
This will be a warm, rhythmic and tough concert with distinctive character, drive and soul.
