Art in Stavanger is an introduction to the art that you can see in the city's public spaces, the art that is part of the cityscape we move through every day, the art that is well-known and beloved, and the art that you may not even know is art at all. The Stavanger Municipality Art Collection is the starting point for the book, but several works initiated by other actors are also included.
Come and hear more about the art we share in Stavanger and take the book home with you. There are many answers to why art is important. This book gives you some of them, and we hope it also inspires you to see the city in new ways through art.
