Vegan som vart min (The Road That Became Mine) is an autobiography by the much-loved Norwegian journalist and author Oddgeir Bruaset. In the book, he looks back on a long life and a varied career in journalism, and on how, for more than 40 years, he engaged and captivated the Norwegian public, particularly through the television series Der ingen skulle tro at nokon kunne bu (Where No One Would Believe Anyone Could Live).
The book offers a unique insight into the behind-the-scenes world of television production in earlier times. Bruaset also shares memories of growing up in modest circumstances in Måndalen, in Romsdal.
