Vetle Lid Larssen gives a talk about his new historical novel, Dragsug, the first volume in his planned Skagerak trilogy.
The lecture takes its starting point in the writing of Dragsug, a story that moves between the mythical power of the Viking Age and the dark events in a small town in Southern Norway during the German occupation. With the Skagerrak as its backdrop, Larssen explores historical traces, destinies and secrets that have lain hidden beneath the sea and within the collective memory.
This is not a traditional book presentation, but an engaging and narrative talk about history, myths, research and how literature can connect different eras and human experiences.
