On Friday 18 September, BØRST invites audiences to an evening filled with singalongs, nostalgia, energy and memorable musical moments at Checkpoint.
BØRST celebrates the very best of Norwegian rock and rap, from the songs that shaped earlier generations to today’s favourites. With a repertoire spanning five decades, the band bridges generations and brings audiences together through music with lasting cultural significance.
The setlist features classics from Jokke & Valentinerne, Raga Rockers, DeLillos, Ingenting and DumDum Boys, alongside more recent favourites from Kaizers Orchestra, Morten Abel, Gabrielle, OnklP & De Fjerne Slektningene and Karpe. The result is a concert experience where people in their 20s, 40s and 60s all discover favourite songs—and often end up singing along to one another’s.
BØRST is known for creating a warm, inclusive and energetic concert atmosphere. The evening is not only about the music, but also about the memories, stories and sense of community that emerge when an entire audience sings along to songs that have become part of Norway’s cultural identity.
The band consists of experienced musicians with backgrounds including The Getaway People, Stavanger Revyteater, Reidar Larsen, Jorunn Hodne, Morten Abel, Leif & Kompisane and Eriksen.
An ideal evening for anyone with a love of Norwegian music, whether favourite memories involve Jokke on cassette, DumDum Boys on CD, or Karpe on Spotify.
A genuine tribute to Norwegian rock and rap.
