Brit Floyd – Echoes - Celebrating 60 years of Pink Floyd
The world's leading Pink Floyd tribute band comes to Grieghallen with a show marking 60 years since the legendary band was formed. Brit Floyd takes audiences on a journey through six decades of music history – from the early, psychedelic years to the great album classics that made Pink Floyd one of the most influential groups in rock history.
The evening features music from albums such as The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall and The Division Bell – and one of the evening's great highlights is a substantial performance of Echoes, the epic song from the album Meddle that is considered some of the most ambitious music Pink Floyd ever wrote.
Since their founding in Liverpool in 2011 Brit Floyd has played over 1,000 concerts around the world, on stages such as Royal Albert Hall in London, Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver and Radio City Music Hall in New York. The show is known for its grand production, with an enormous circular screen, impressive laser and lighting design and a soundscape that comes close to the original concert experiences.
