Chamber Music Festival 2026: Concert No. 2 – Lunchtime Concert

The festival’s second lunchtime concert presents a programme ranging from twentieth-century sound worlds to the chamber music of the Viennese Classical period. Under the title Luxury Trap, 1788, works from different eras are brought together in a programme that highlights both contrast and connection.
The concert opens with a selection from Béla Bartók’s 44 Duos for Two Violins, performed by Yura Lee and Michael Germer. This is followed by Nury Khalmamedov’s The Sound of the Dutar, performed by Danae Dörken, a short work inspired by Central Asian musical traditions.
In the concert’s main work, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Divertimento, K.563, Alexandra Conunova, Yura Lee, and Andreas Brantelid come together in one of the most important works in the string trio repertoire.
