Dancing the Conga followed up their debut album with And Now... We Take America – a timely commentary on the world we live in, featuring brand-new pop songs disguised as alternative rock.
The music has recently been played and featured on BBC and NRK, and highlighted by The Indie Grid (UK), KULT Magasin (SE), Welfare Sounds (SE) and Earmilk (UK). The band has also received a 5/6 review in Dagsavisen, been named Gaffa’s Pick of the Week, and received a 4/5 rating for the album in Gaffa.
The album was written, recorded and produced by the band themselves, mixed by the band’s own Henrik Lillehaug (Norway’s answer to Dave Fridmann), and mastered by Frida Claesson Johannson at Svenska Grammofon Studion.
In recent years, DTC have established themselves as one of the most promising acts on the Scandinavian band scene, with more than 60 concerts to their name, including a memorable performance at by 2024, where they also won the NOPA songwriting award.
They have appeared on Berrum og Beyer, been featured as cover boys for Tidal’s Best Indie of the Year, released their debut album twice, run 372 km in one week to perform at Bergtattfestivalen, and supported Royel Otis and Kakkmaddafakka.
