The author Kjartan Fløgstad is a playful word artist who likes to dance with words, both in ballrooms and at the Folkets hus (community hall). In addition to a number of award-winning novels, he has written several dozen song lyrics. Musician and composer Gabriel Fliflet has set many of these to music.
In Dansen med orda (Dancing with Words) Fløgstad will play with words and music together with Gabriels Novgorod, one of Bergen's most vital bands, which specialises in ethnic popular music from the Baltic region. In addition to Fløgstad's songs there will surely also be gems from our neighbours in the east that you cannot resist! With Kjartan Fløgstad (talking, readings, rap), Gabriel Fliflet (accordion, vocals), David Chelsom Vogt (fiddle, vocals), Kristoffer Chelsom Vogt (double bass, vocals) and Jørgen Sandvik (guitar, vocals).
