Didrik Solli-Tangen (b. 1987) trained as a classical singer at the Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo. He achieved national recognition in 2010 when he won the Norwegian final of the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “My Heart Is Yours.”
Didrik has collaborated with some of Norway’s leading artists, songwriters, and producers, as well as the Norwegian Opera, Norwegian Radio Orchestra, Arctic Philharmonic, and Oslo Philharmonic. He has sung duets with legends such as José Carreras and Eurovision winner Loreen. He has performed several times for the Royal Family and had the honour of singing at the funeral of former Prime Minister Kåre Willoch.
Didrik has appeared on many major Norwegian TV broadcasts. In 2012, he won the celebrity edition of the Norwegian reality show 71° Nord. He also hosted Skal vi danse on TV2 for two seasons alongside Katrine Moholt. In 2017, he placed second in NRK’s Stjernekamp. In 2021, he participated in the second season of Maskorama as the “Snow Monster” and won, with the finale watched by over 1.2 million viewers.
Didrik Solli-Tangen performs in sold-out concert halls across Norway and has achieved great success with his summer concerts Klassisk Sommer and Christmas concerts O Helga Natt. His voice is regarded as one of the finest in the country.
