Dina Ögon are finally coming to Stavanger for a true club concert!

Where their debut album and follow-ups Oas (2023) and Orion (2024) once felt like they stopped abruptly, the band now pulls out all the stops and demands full attention. In a time when the album format has largely been pushed aside in favour of a constant stream of disconnected digital singles, Dina Ögon move in the opposite direction with Människobarn — a double LP released on 6 February 2026, a record that truly takes its time.
Where Anna Ahnlund previously often looked outward towards the wider world, she now turns inward towards inner landscapes and human relationships. While the lyrics remain open to the world around us, they become most powerful when dwelling on life, grief, and close personal experiences, transforming them into songs that shift between euphoria and melancholy.
Dina Ögon’s music has often been wide-ranging and curious, taking listeners on musical journeys of discovery. Now it feels as though they have found home. This does not make the music any less varied, but the sound is unmistakably their own rather than a playful borrowing of others’ expressions. One moment it sways lightly and effortlessly, the next a darkness emerges that previously rarely surfaced.
The contrasts from the vast melting pot of influences are now fused with greater courage and maturity than before. Inspirations and styles are woven together into something unified, rather than laid out in the open. All of this is done while threading in a healthy dose of humour into songs heavy with experience. Melodic hooks and unexpected turns appear exactly where you least expect them.
As with previous albums, anyone attempting to pick singles from the record has a thankless task ahead. The whole is greater than its parts. Still, there are clear standouts destined for airplay: “Dålig teve”, “Margaretas sång”, “Människobarn”, “Hack i häl” and “Du tappa dä”. Where Dina Ögon’s earlier albums provided the soundtrack to late-summer romances, it is now autumn. Whether autumn brings love grown strong or sorrow over what once was is up to the listener. You will likely hear it all at once — winding and twisting in all conceivable and inconceivable ways, like music akin to an M.C. Escher image: seemingly logical at first glance, then open to everything and its opposite.
Reception has been warm. The Danish music magazine Gaffa describes the album as a future classic and writes that the band will inevitably be mentioned when Swedish music history is summarised.
