Dødens pubertet 2.0
What is needed for menopause to be understood—not just talked about?
It has become easier to speak openly about menopause, yet research has not kept pace. We exist in a strange tension: a progressively open public debate—and a scientific landscape where fundamental questions remain unanswered. Death’s Puberty 2.0 therefore takes the next step. The festival turns its focus to the blind spots: Why do we know so little? What do the latest studies tell us—and what do they not? And how does this lack of knowledge affect the lives, bodies, and working days of millions of women?
Participants:
- Nina Lykke – author writing incisively about women’s lives, bodies, work, frustration, and identity.
- Kaja Melsom – philosopher, author, and social commentator.
- Una Ørvim Sølvik – Associate Professor at UiB, from the KLAR research project, on menopause, sick leave, and workforce participation.
- Erna Harboe – occupational physician
The full programme will be announced shortly.
