The Ugandan rapper and MC Ecko Bazz is coming to Folken with a sound unlike anything else.
Drawing inspiration from Kampala's underground scene and the record label Hakuna Kulala, he blends trap, nu-dancehall and Luganda poetry into a form of ritualistic energy, where political and religious unrest meets raw physical power on stage. Following the breakthrough album Mmaso, he has gained international recognition for his intense live performances, shifting between whispered intensity and hyperactive screams, often over beats from producers such as Debmaster, Slikback and PQ.
In 2025, he released the EP Nsiga Ensigo, produced by his long-time collaborator STILL (known from Hundebiss Records and the project Dracula Lewis) together with Talpah. The three tracks push his sound even further towards the edges – sharper, more experimental and increasingly unpredictable.
It will be an intense Tuesday night in Grottene! An encounter with one of East Africa's most electrifying stage personalities, rarely seen in Norway.
